Safari Itinerary

Tour Overview: This safari takes you through two of Uganda’s most popular national parks, Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth, offering an excellent opportunity to witness the diverse wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. From the powerful Murchison Falls to the vast savannahs of Queen Elizabeth, this itinerary is designed for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Drive Time: Approximately 5-6 hours (305 km)

Activities: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, Top of the Falls visit

Accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge or similar

Meal Plan: Lunch, Dinner

Description: Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, you’ll visit the top of the falls, where the Nile River explodes through a narrow gorge creating a thunderous roar and a stunning view. Afterward, you’ll check into your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Safari on the Nile

Activities: Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Boat Safari to the Bottom of the Falls

Accommodation: Paraa Safari Lodge or similar

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Description: Start the day with an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, where you can spot elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and various antelope species. After lunch, enjoy a boat safari on the Nile, taking you to the base of Murchison Falls. The boat cruise offers excellent opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Drive Time: Approximately 7-8 hours (390 km)

Activities: Scenic Drive, Game Viewing en Route

Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge or similar

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Description: After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying the scenic drive through the countryside. Arrive in the late afternoon, with the possibility of a short game drive en route to your lodge. Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its diverse ecosystems, including savanna, rainforest, and lakes, making it a prime destination for wildlife viewing.

Day 4: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Activities: Morning Game Drive, Afternoon Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge or similar

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Description: Begin your day with a morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains, where you can expect to see lions, elephants, buffalo, and numerous bird species. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. The channel is famous for its high concentration of hippos and other wildlife, as well as a spectacular array of birdlife.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Entebbe

Drive Time: Approximately 6-7 hours (375 km)

Activities: Morning Game Drive, Transfer to Entebbe

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch

Description: Enjoy one final game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park before departing for Entebbe. Along the way, you may have the chance to stop at the equator for a photo opportunity and souvenir shopping. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
