Lake Manyara National Park is a protected area in Tanzania, situated between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley. Here are some key details:

Location:

It lies in Tanzania’s Arusha and Manyara Regions.

The park covers an area of 325 km² (125 sq mi), including about 230 km² (89 sq mi) of lake surface1.

Wildlife and Bird Species:

Lake Manyara is home to diverse wildlife, including tree-climbing lions, Masai giraffes, and other animals.

Over 350 bird species have been observed on the lake1.

Climate:

The park experiences two rainy seasons: “short rains” from November to December and “long rains” from March to May.

The wettest month is April, while the driest months are July, August, and September.

Average high temperatures range from 25°C (77°F) in June and July to 30°C (86°F) in January, February, and March.
