Tour Overview: Experience the best of Uganda’s wildlife with this 8-day safari, which takes you through the heart of the country. From the lush forests of Kibale to the savannas of Queen Elizabeth National Park, and the dense jungles of Bwindi, this tour offers unforgettable encounters with Uganda’s diverse fauna, including chimpanzees, elephants, and the majestic mountain gorillas.

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Accommodation: Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa (or similar)

Meals: Dinner

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport where your guide will welcome you. Transfer to your hotel for a relaxing evening before your adventure begins.

Day 2: Entebbe to Kibale National Park

Travel Distance: 350 km (approximately 6-7 hours)

Accommodation: Primate Lodge Kibale (or similar)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Depart from Entebbe and drive to Kibale National Park, known for its rich primate population. The scenic drive takes you through Uganda’s lush countryside, arriving in the afternoon. After check-in, enjoy an optional nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park

Accommodation: Primate Lodge Kibale (or similar)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Early morning breakfast followed by a briefing on chimpanzee tracking. Embark on an exciting trek through the forest to observe chimpanzees and other primates in their natural habitat. The afternoon is at leisure; you may explore the local community or relax at the lodge.

Day 4: Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Travel Distance: 180 km (approximately 3-4 hours)

Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge (or similar)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular savanna reserve. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, where you’ll spot elephants, buffalo, and various antelope species. In the afternoon, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which offers a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, and a plethora of birdlife.

Day 5: Game Drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park

Accommodation: Mweya Safari Lodge (or similar)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Embark on an early morning game drive to catch the predators at their most active. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax until lunch. In the afternoon, venture out for another game drive in a different part of the park, offering a chance to spot lions, leopards, and other wildlife.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Travel Distance: 160 km (approximately 4-5 hours)

Accommodation: Mahogany Springs Lodge (or similar)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After breakfast, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The journey takes you through the scenic Ishasha sector, where you might spot tree-climbing lions. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon, where you can relax and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trek.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

Accommodation: Mahogany Springs Lodge (or similar)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After an early breakfast, receive a briefing from park rangers before embarking on a gorilla trek through the dense rainforest. This once-in-a-lifetime experience allows you to observe these majestic creatures up close. The trek can take several hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.

Day 8: Bwindi to Entebbe & Departure

Travel Distance: 500 km (approximately 8-9 hours)

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe. You’ll have a packed lunch en route. Depending on your flight time, you may have time for a brief stop at the equator. Arrive in Entebbe in the evening for your departure flight.
